What Lies Hidden

I’m so mixed up on this issue. In no way do I think that anyone has any right to prohibit marriages between genders, but then again I have grown up with a conservative Christian father and I know how important he feels it is to not compromise on what he feels is Godly and moral. This is a guy who wouldn’t let us watch Disney movies with witches or wizards or really bad villains in them (read: almost all of them, including The Lion King for pete’s sake), this stuff is very real for him, and I truly believe he loves whatever he believes in. I feel like expecting people to vote for stuff they feel is wrong is kinda arrogant :/ I would never vote to legitimize all abortions because for whatever reason, I can’t get past the fact that the action is taking a life. And that makes me a horrible person in the eyes of people who don’t see it that way. Who’s right? What gives either party the right to decide what is right or wrong and what is allowed? In a world where no one agrees on anything, the majority has all the say. And until the LGBT population rises or our lobby becomes stronger or people actually start caring, we will be oppressed. And I still can’t decide what side I’m on :/
