what an introvert is:
- someone who gets their energy from being alone and can get exhausted from being around people for extended periods of time
what an introvert isn’t:
- low self esteem
- hatred of people
- social awkwardness
I miiiiiight possess just a smidgen of the last three qualities too though.
- Mom: Why did you keep your door closed even though the rest of the house was completely empty?
- Me: I just didn't want my movie to disturb you when you got home.
- What I really meant: I don't wear clothes when the house is empty, mom.
We had to put my dog down this past weekend. He had cancer all over his body, and arthritis, and some intestinal problems. We all decided that we wanted to be there as a family to say goodbye. It hurt so fucking bad to say goodbye to my best friend of 13 years. I’ve never seen anything die before… And the entire time we were doing it, I was just thinking to myself, “we’re killing him.” He’s happy and wagging his tail and we’re killing him. In my heart I know he was in pain and his quality of life was about to decline rapidly, but it still hurt so fucking bad to see the light leave his eyes and see him slump onto the table and know that I made it happen… But I know it was for the better. I could never have lived with myself if I had let it go until he was in serious pain. I hope you knew we adored you mutt. Goodbye Otis. I love you puppy

This makes me think of the “sanctions” that our fucking government government decided to use in Iraq.
It sucks that the only time my roomie opens up to me is when he’s scared his ex-girlfriend is going to try harming herself and he wants to know if I can try talking to her…
I mean of course I did it, I don’t want her to get hurt, but jeez, it sucks that it takes a potential suicide to get Mason to talk to me about anything important :/
